Clara Soaring Hawk, Ramapough Lenape, Director
Clara Soaring Hawk is an elder of the Ramapough Lenape Nation, where she formerly served as Chief and now continues her service as an Ambassador. She is a respected spiritual advisor, public speaker, artist, activist, and teacher, sharing the traditional ways of her people. Grandmother Clara facilitates ceremonies across the United States and internationally, offering guidance at spiritual gatherings and community events. Deeply committed to supporting the next generation, she works closely with youth, helping them strengthen their connection to tradition, spirit, and the natural world.
Defining herself as a “spiritual ecologist,” Grandmother Clara emphasizes the need for a renewed global consciousness in these times of profound change. Her guiding principle is rooted in her words: “I stand for the Water. I stand for the Land. I stand for the People. I RISE for the next SEVEN GENERATIONS! Kii loona Lunaapeewak – We are all one People.”
