Huya Aniwa means the magical universe of nature in the language of the Yoreme people of Mexico

Huya Aniwa’s mission is to revitalize and preserve cultural heritage and sacred lands in partnership with Indigenous communities and their leadership. 

Our commitment is to integrate Indigenous wisdom with sustainable land stewardship. 



Through reforestation and support for ancestral practices, we aim to restore and protect the natural environment and preserve Indigenous traditions, fostering a harmonious balance for all living beings.

Over the past decade, many of the projects highlighted in this report were carried out through the combined efforts of two sister organizations founded by Vivien Vilela and, prior partner, Rudy Randa: Aniwa and The Boa Foundation. From 2015 to 2023, these organizations worked side by side with Indigenous leaders around the world to protect sacred lands, restore ecosystems, and strengthen cultural resilience
